International Literary Shevchenko Congress

According to the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine and Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv organize

Shevchenko International Literary Congress

which will be held on the 10-11th of March, 2014 in Kyiv.

The plenary session will take place at 12 oc’lock on the 10th of March in the National Opera House of Ukraine. Senior government officials, rector of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv Leonid Guberskyi, representatives of National Academy of Arts of Ukraine, Lomonosov Moscow State University, Saint Petersburg State University and L.N.Gumilyov Eurasian National University are expected to give a greeting speech. The keynote lecture will be given by a representative of Taras Shevchenko Institute of Literature of National Academy of Science of Ukraine.

Researches of Taras Shevchenko literature are invited to participate in round tables that will occur at 10 oc’lock on the 11th of March in Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

The Institute of Philology (Shevchenko blvd., 14) will hold round tables on the following issues:
- “Taras Schevchenko phenomenon in Ukrainian literature process”.
- “Receptions and translations of Shevchenko’s heritage”.

The Faculty of Philosophy (Volodymyrska str., 60):
- “The figure of Taras Shevchenko in philosophy of Ukraine”.

The Faculty of History (Volodymyrska str., 60): :
- “Shevcheko’s part in history of Ukrainian Country”.

The articles will be published in the dedicated to the Congress issue of “Shevchekoznavchi Studii”.
